• colby jack cheese, shredded
• water for sealing wrappers
• oil for frying
Cheeseburger Filling
• 1 lb ground chuck
• 1 small yellow onion, diced
• 1/2 red bell pepper diced
• 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 cup dill pickles chips, diced
• 4 slices American cheese
Seasoning Blend
• 1 tablespoon sea salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
• 1 teaspoon granulated onion
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
Dipping Sauce
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
• 2 tablespoons ketchup
• 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
• 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
• 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 tablespoon white sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
Instructions
Add dipping sauce ingredients in a bowl, mix to combine well & set aside.
Sautée diced onions & bell peppers in a skillet for 3-5 minutes over medium/high heat until tender.
Add ground chuck to skillet & cook down until crumbly and browned, about 8-10 minutes.
Drain excess fat from skillet & continue cooking.
Add already measured seasoning blend to browned meat, stirring to combine.
Add slices of American cheese on top of seasoned meat & cover with a lid to melt.
Once cheese is melted add diced pickles & stir to combine all ingredients.
On a flat surface lay out egg roll wrapper on top of sheet of wax paper to keep from sticking.
Add 2 tablespoons shredded colby jack cheese to center of wrapper.
Add 3 tablespoons of cooked meat filling on top of cheese.
Add additional 2 tablespoons shredded colby/jack cheese on top of meat filling.
To roll, wet all edges of wrapper then fold 2 opposite corners of wrapper in over the filling.
Fold 1 corner of wrapper over the already 2 folded edges then begin to carefully roll wrapper with filling until the last remaining edge seals the egg roll.
Repeat for remaining filling & wrappers.
Fry egg rolls in 350 degree F oil for 4-6 minutes, or until crispy & golden brown.
Cut egg rolls in half on diagonal with a serrated knife.
Serve with dipping sauce & enjoy!
Recipe Pro Tips:
• Ensure a secure seal by applying water to all edges of the egg roll wrapper before folding, preventing any filling from escaping during frying.
• Allow the cheese to melt completely into the meat mixture, ensuring a gooey and flavorful interior for the egg rolls.
• Maintain consistent oil temperature during frying to achieve a crispy and golden-brown exterior without overcooking the delicate egg roll wrappers.
