Ingredients

4 cups cold, day old cooked jasmine rice

3 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons avocado oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 yellow onion, sliced

1/2 cup frozen diced carrots

1/2 cup frozen peas

2 eggs

2 green onions, chopped for garnish

toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Hibachi Sauce

4 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoon dark soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Fried Rice Seasoning

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic

1 teaspoon granulated onion

1/2 teaspoon msg

1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon white sugar

Yum Yum Sauce

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sriracha

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar

1/2 tablespoon soy sauce

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Add 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon avocado oil to the pan. Pour in the whisked eggs, scramble them, and push them to one side of the pan or remove.

Add 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 tablespoon avocado oil and garlic, onion, carrots, and peas. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

Add the cold, day-old rice, breaking up any clumps with a spatula. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, letting it slightly crisp on the bottom.

Pour in the hibachi sauce mixture and fried rice seasoning then mix thoroughly. Continue to stir-fry for another 3 minutes to coat the rice evenly.

Garnish with yum yum sauce, chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Recipe Pro Tips

✔ Use Cold Rice – Freshly cooked rice will be too soft and sticky. Use day-old rice for the best texture.

✔ High Heat is Key – Cooking on high heat replicates the teppanyaki experience and gives the rice a slightly crispy, restaurant-quality finish.

✔ Customize to Taste – Add hibachi-style garlic butter (butter + minced garlic + soy sauce) for even more flavor
